What's new in Svelte: August 1, 2020
Typescript support, a new HMR toolchain, drop-in components and some stunning showcase sites

First class Typescript support is now included in svlete-preprocess, VS Code (Atom and Vim coming soon)

These last two updates come from an update to Svelte’s upstream dependency, acorn. For more info on how acorn is to generate Svelte’s Abstract Syntax Tree (AST), check out Rich Harris’ comment from 2017.

Simple-DataTables is a work-in-progress Datatable component for Svelte complete with sorting, filtering and pagination (demo)
svelte-file-dropzone is a file upload tool that lets users drag-and-drop their file into a “drop zone”. A common UI pattern, now available in Svelte!
Protochess is a chess tool that lets you customize the game board to your liking. Useful for practicing specific positions - complete with multiplayer (source code)
MyNumberFacts is a times table practicing and assessment tool. Great for teaching kids during quarantine (source)
primo is an all-in-one IDE, CMS, component library, and static site generator… think Webflow but built with Svelte. It made quite a splash on Hackernews!
Elder Guide is a Elder Care search tool that compares senior living and care facilities across the US. More info on the tech here
